The hits just keep coming for Teresa and Joe Giudice of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” fame, or should I say infamy. The couple has just shaved $500,000 off the asking price on their Towaco, New Jersey, mansion, dropping the price tag by 12.5 percent to $3.499 million.
That’s a nice discount on the 4-acre property that hit the market about two months ago, not long before the reality stars were sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to tax evasion and a variety of fraud charges. Teresa is set to begin serving her 15-month sentence on Jan. 5, 2015, at a minimum security prison in Danbury, Conn. Joe will begin serving his 41-month sentence after his wife is released.
During an emotional moment in part-three of the RHONJ reunion Tuesday night, Teresa said the worst part of going to prison will be the separation from her four daughters. Her youngest, Audriana, was born on the show.
“I wish I could take my daughters with me,” she said.
With any luck, the real estate part of the Giudice’s problems will be settled before they “go away,” which is RHONJ-speak for being incarcerated.
Since the price cut last week, their six-bed/six-bath property on 6 Indian Lane (see the slideshow below) has “been getting some more interest,” listing agent Frank Cooney told AOL. “It’s hard to find that buyer at that price point.”
The couple’s beach house in Manahawkin, New Jersey, also is for sale. Price: $315,000.
